Attractive Nuisance
My World-View
You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. Life has a meaning outside of the rational.

More Timewasters...
Crimson Room
Viridian Room
They're kinda like Zelda in that their are room puzzles...
I dig them. Sorry for the lame posts, but I have been cleaning out my laptop/email and I find this stuff and I want to share it.
Here...this was kinda fun...
. | This is what I got in this little survey thing. Take it and post the results. Let's see how different we truly are. Oh, and grade distributions are up. Kelly, it looks as though you got the best grade in your class. You were the only 9. That is awsome! Congrats! Also, you should really have Raider's green eyes checked out. Anything is game, however, revealing pictures of my mother will probably be censored.
I'm wide awake, it's morning
Apologies that I haven’t been responding or posting. Things have been a bit hectic for me this past week or so, but normalcy is creeping back into my life and that is a good thing. Well, where to begin. Kelly, love your blog and congrats on your grades! I agree that the blog forum is a perfect place for a rejuvenation of the essay and if I ever find something worth saying I plan on posting it as well. Todd (forever K-Boy), also congrats on your grades. It’s good to know that our little group will continue to pollute the entrance to the law school with cigarette smoke and (occasionally) interesting conversation.
I have a movie I think you all would like to see, I’ll give a little teaser about it. It’s called “Primer” and it’s about a bunch of engineers in a garage discovering something scientists and humans have always dreamed of discovering. The ability to have no regrets. (How’s that for teaser!)
On the music front. System of the Down’s new album sounds very good. My girlfriend made me buy (not steal) B.Y.O.B. and burn it for her so she could listen to it and I think it is a really good song. What I like about them is they have an original take on rock and roll and some of their time signatures are awesome.
I’ve bought three CD’s these past few weeks. Beck’s (Guero), Bright eyes (I’m wide awake, it’s morning) and Weezer’s (Make Believe). I also pre-ordered White stripes new album which comes out in a couple weeks. It has an amazingly good title for a rock record (Get behind me Satan). It’s really unfortunate Todd that the song they played on “The river” was “My Best Friend” because I think that might be the weakest song on the record. It’s surely the most simplistic. I think it was their attempt to return to some of their earliest records from ten or so years ago. Let me give you a lyric sample from one of the other songs that might compel you to give some other tracks a shot
“When you’re out with your friends in your new Mercedes Benz
And you’re on drugs
You show up late for school and you think you’re really cool
When you’re on drugs
But the world don’t care if you’re not there cause
You’re on drugs
We are all on drugs”
(Ok, maybe the lyrics aren’t really that good) :)
Seriously, give them another shot though. 18,000 Canadians can’t be wrong! (First weeks sales that made them number one on Canada’s music charts)
I’m also pretty happy with my grades. I got my best grades in Crim Law and Torts.
I also want Sergei to stop being an international legal superstar and post already!
My other thoughts I’ll post in comments and might react to the China comments in a proper post.

In other words, good luck, have fun, and keep us posted!
Television, a response to "A Plain View"
From Looney Toons I became acquainted with classical music (particularly Grieg), opera, and fine literature (including Steinbeck and Shakespeare).
Even G.I. Joe taught us that knowing is half the battle.
But now what does TV have to offer? Reality television, which has largely replaced the sitcom, does not conform to either "reality" or normal conventions of "television." It blurs the line between truth and fiction and toes the line of the legal "obscene." The producers want you to think that Paris spilled the ashes of a human being and gathered them up with a vacuum cleaner. In reality, it's just ashes that they told her to spill.
The same goes for current childrens' programming. The infamous Pokemon and the more recent Yu-Gi-Oh have no valuable life lesson at the end, only blatant marketing. In Pokemon you "gotta catch 'em all," and in Yu-Gi-Oh the characters actually play the game for which they sell cards.
What happened to books?
The point is this: in the end, the only television worth watching should make you laugh for 15 minutes to a half hour, and not force you to watch the next episode for fear of missing something important.
Either that, or it should be hosted by Alex Trebek (all other game shows will rot your brain).

New Music, my book
In other news, since last Thursday I've written about 9,000 words in my book. This is the result of nearly constant work, and it brings me up to over 14,000 words total (59 double-spaced pages). The average novel appears to be about 50,000 words, but my goal is 40,000. I'm not really sure how to meet that goal, though, because I feel like I'm over half-done already.
When classes start again, I'll work more on editing the story.
Also, I've been putting quotes at the beginning of each section, and I sent out four requests to different record labels and publishers for permission to use the material. Most of the quotes are from the Bible though, and I'm not sure how to ask God for permission.

Is this a good thing?
I think it's too late, but I wanted ya'alls view on it too.
