The Mailbox Rule

I have no idea what song they're referring to, but I thought this was pretty cool.

I'm sick because I know this, but it's an Ashlee Simpson song...

I was thinking of Jewel . . . but that album was called "Pieces of You".

And, yes, Jon, you are sick; not because you know it, but because you like it, just like I like that Santana duet with the chick I don't even know and who sings so sickenly sweet it gives me a tummmy ache when I hear it, and yet I listen every time.

I object!

I never said I "liked" her...But the song was pretty hard to avoid last year...especially during her whole SNL fiasco.

I think now wld. be a great time for "guilty pleasures".

I'll start.

"Live to Tell" by Madonna
(circa 1985)

"Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me"
Not the Elton John version, (though I like that, too, but I don't feel guilty about liking it)but the George Michael/Elton John duet. It's worth it to hear Georgie Boy say, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Mr. Elton John!"

"We're Not Gonna Take It!" by Twisted Sister

I'll keep adding to these from time to time.

I alreay confessed to my penchant for listening to some early Phil Collins. And there's also Foreigner . . . "He's got ONE guitar!" It's so ridiculously dramatic.
